Over the past decade, we’ve done more than $1 million in restorations to Russel Wright's Home and Studio. We’ve sealed both structures from water infiltration, addressed drainage issues, replaced damaged electrical service, restored structural damage from moisture and rodents, and re-installed Wright’s historic "green roofs". SPECIAL MEMBER PROGRAMS
Laurel Festival: Join us for the annual members’ celebration of the blooming laurel the first week in June! Russel Wright loved the Mountain Laurel and used it to define wonderful landscape features throughout Manitoga. Each year, he invited everyone to a neighborhood potluck to revel in the special beauty of the beloved plant. He thought the blooming Laurel looked like strawberry ice cream, so he finished each year’s feast by serving scrumptious strawberry ice cream to his guests.
Make Your Own Member Program: Manitoga is interested in forming special members groups for collectors, photographers, gardeners, book lovers and others who want to gather with friends at Manitoga to pursue a common interest.
